World Resources Forum 2009 - Participate online

Join the discussions on the World Resources Forum, a leading environmental forum, online via the WRF Student Reporter Blog.

Held for the first time in 2009, the World Resources Forum in Davos has attracted a high-level selection of speakers, including Dennis Meadows (Co-Author Limits to Growth), Ashok Khosla (President IUCN), Ernst-Ulrich von Weizsäcker (Author Factor 4) and Mathis Wackernagel (Executive Director, Global Footprint Network) and a range of high-level policy makers. The event will reposition the topic of resource consumption and productivity and aims to have a direct and tangible impact on policy makers.

If you are not able to participate in the WRF in person, we invite you to follow and participate in the "WRF Student Reporter" Blog that will go online here beginning of September. Ten selected international students will be blogging live from the event to a global audience, providing content summaries, background stories, interviews and impressions from the event.

The blog seeks to engage the resource efficiency expert community and the interested general public and we actively invite external comments. We hope to host engaged discussions during the event on September 15 and 15, but also during the preparation and follow-up phase.

To keep in touch, please register for the WRF newsletter on http://www.worldresourcesforum.org or follow us on www.twitter.com/wrf_reporter.

The WRF Student Reporters are selected from the fellows of the Swiss Study Foundation and the members of oikos International. The project was initiated by the Mercator Foundation Switzerland, who is a partner of the World Resources Forum.
